Dr. Georgios Louloudis was born in 1979 in Athens, Greece. He received his Bachelor in Informatics and Telecommunications (2000), his Master’s degree in Signal Processing for Telecommunications and Multimedia (2002) and his Ph.D. degree in Character Recognition of Historical Documents (2009) from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Currently, he is working at the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos", Athens, Greece at the field  of handwritten historical  document  image  processing  as a research associate and participates  at the  EU  funded project  tranScriptorium. He has 25 publications in journals and international conference proceedings and has participated in several research programs funded by the European community. He is also program committee of the  ICFHR 2014 and ICDAR 2015 international Conferences.  His main research interests are in Pattern Recognition, Image Processing, Document Image Analysis, Processing of Historical Documents and OCR.
